1. The short version

We collect what we need to sell you chocolate and nothing exotic: your order details, your email if you give it to us, and basic analytics about how the Site is used. We do not sell your personal information. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at hello@lalore.net.

2. What we collect

Order information — name, shipping address, email, phone (optional), and the items you buy — used to fulfill and support your order.

Payment information — handled by our payment processor. Card numbers go to the processor directly and never touch LORE's own servers; we see only a confirmation and the last digits needed for support.

Email — if you subscribe to the journal or buy a bar, we store your address and your subscription preferences.

Usage data — standard analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate region, referring site) collected through cookies or similar technologies to understand how the Site performs.

3. How we use it

To fulfill orders, ship product, answer support email, and honor the 30-day guarantee.

To send the newsletter you asked for — one good thing, rarely. Every email includes one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects your orders.

To improve the Site: aggregate analytics tell us which pages work and which don't.

To meet legal obligations: tax, accounting and fraud-prevention records where the law requires them.

4. What we never do

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not run surveillance-style ad tracking across other sites on your behalf.

5. Who we share data with

Service providers who make the store run: the payment processor, the shipping carrier, the email platform, and the analytics provider. Each receives only what its function requires and is bound to use it only for us.

Authorities, if and only if the law requires it.

6. Cookies

The Site uses a small set of cookies: essential ones that make the cart and checkout work, and analytics cookies that count visits. Your browser can block or clear cookies at any time; the essential parts of the store keep working, though the cart may forget its contents.

7. How long we keep things

Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: in aggregate form only. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, we honor the same baseline: you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to marketing. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and EU/UK residents under the GDPR — email hello@lalore.net and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

The Site sells food and is intended for general audiences, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes and contact
